Abstract:
To improve the exhaust performance of an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle 1 includes: an electric power train 3; a first coolant path 5 for cooling a part of a cylinder head 4 of an internal combustion engine 2; and a second coolant path 6 for cooling the engine 2 independently of the first coolant path 5. Disposed in the first coolant path 5 are an electric power train 3, a first water jacket 7, a fuel supply pipe 8, a heater 9, a first radiator 10, and a first pump 11. Before starting the engine 2 while traveling, the hybrid vehicle 1 warms the cylinder head 4 of the engine 2 with first coolant warmed by the electric power train 3 or with the first coolant warmed by the heater 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
