Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic cement composition for dentistry which has: (1) kneaded material properties operable with a common dental instrument; (2) an initial set time capable of securing an enough and optimal operation time; (3) properties of not causing collapse of the hardened substance just after the initial set in tissue fluid or water; and (4) excellent physical properties, such as strength and sealing properties after hardening.SOLUTION: The invention provides a hydraulic cement composition for dentistry obtained by kneading, before use, (A) a powder material containing following components (a)-(d): (a) tricalcium silicate, or tricalcium silicate and dicalcium silicate, (b) calcium oxide and/or calcium hydroxide, (c) sulfuric acid alkali metal salt, sulfuric acid alkaline earth metal salt, or one or more kinds of sulphate selected from sulfuric acid transition metal salts, (d) less than 0-5 mass% of calcium aluminate to the total amount of the powder material, and (B) a liquid drug consisting of a water soluble polymer compound aqueous solution.
