PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generator in which, even if a plurality reformers are closely arranged, variation in the catalyst temperature of the reformer arranged at the inside and the reformer arranged at the outside can be reduced.SOLUTION: Provided is a hydrogen generator 11 in which nine reformers 20 are arranged so as to be close at equal intervals in three rows and three columns in a horizontal direction in a grid pattern. The outer circumferential face of the cylindrical reformer 20 is covered with a cylindrical heat insulation part 40. A heat conduction part 51 is arranged in a square shape (lattice shape) so as to surround the outer circumferential face of each reformer 20 covered with the heat insulation part 40. The heat conduction part 51 is composed of an aluminum alloy high in thermal conductivity. Even if a plurality of the reformers 20 are closely arranged so as to attain miniaturization, the hydrogen generator 11 can maintain the uniformity of the temperature of the catalyst part in each reformer 20, and since hydrogen generation efficiency is not deteriorated, a plurality of the low cost (general-purpose) reformers 20 are closely arranged (arranged in a grid pattern in a horizontal direction), and the hydrogen generator 11 can be miniaturized and low-costed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
