Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sense a flow rate anomaly on the recycling route of a hydrogen generator possessing a desulfurizer.SOLUTION: The provided hydrogen generator includes: a desulfurizer for desulfurizing a material gas; a reformer for generating a hydrogen-containing gas from the material gas discharged from the desulfurizer; a material feeding route for feeding the material gas into the desulfurizer; a discharge route for discharging the hydrogen-containing gas from the reformer; a fixed volume-type material feeder positioned within the material feeding route for feeding, into the reformer, a specified volumetric flow rate of the material gas based on a specified operation magnitude; a mass flowmeter for measuring the mass flow rate of the material gas on the material feeding route; and a recycling route connected to a span from the discharge route to the route between the material feeder and mass flowmeter on the material feeding route for feeding, into the desulfurizer, a portion of the hydrogen-containing gas from the discharge route. A flow rate anomaly of the recycling route is sensed by grasping the flow rate of the hydrogen-containing gas streaming through the recycling route on the basis of the difference, from the material flow rate, of the totaled flow rate of the hydrogen-containing gas and material gas having merged within the material feeding route from multiple gas recycling routes.
