Abstract:

To provide a polyester fiber-based fiber structure which contains graft-polymerized polyester fibers and improves color fastness to light, the deterioration in physical properties, dimensional unstableness, when moistened, slippery hand, and the like.

This hygroscopic polyester fiber structure containing hydrophilic compound graft polymerization-processed polyester fibers and graft polymerization-unprocessed polyester fibers is characterized by having a graft polymerization-processed polyester fiber content of <65mass%, a hygroscopicity of ≥2.0%, and the color fastness to light of the fourth grade or higher. The method for producing the hygroscopic polyester fiber structure is characterized by dyeing the polyester fiber structure comprising hydrophilic compound graft polymerization-processed polyester fibers and graft polymerization-unprocessed polyester fibers with a dyeing solution containing a UV light absorbent and an alkali disperse dye.
