Abstract:
The present invention provides an industrial furnace capable of completing ignition of a pilot burner at once by continuously performing a long ignition operation, and an ignition method thereof. According to the present invention, the industrial furnace comprises: the pilot burner (6) installed in each main burner (2) receiving fuel and air for main combustion to form a main flame, and forming a pilot frame to ignite the main flame; a flow switch (5) to measure a flow rate of the air for the main combustion; and a control apparatus. When the pilot flame is formed by providing each pilot burner with pilot fuel supplied from a single fuel supply pipe (7) and pilot air supplied from a single air supply pipe (8), the control apparatus supplies the air for the main combustion to the main burner. Moreover, when Xa/ (Xa+Y) >= Z (Xa: the estimated maximum flowrate of pilot fuel, Y: a flowrate of the air for the main combustion measured in an air flowmeter, Z: the minimum of combustion) is satisfied, the control apparatus stops operation to form the pilot flame.
