Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel relay optical system which guides divergent luminous flux from a light source to an incidence end face of an optical transmission element, to form an image of a light emission part of the light source at the position of the incidence end face.SOLUTION: There is provided a relay optical system RL which transmits light made incident from an incidence end face toward an emission end face, and guides divergent luminous flux from a light source LS toward the incidence end face of an optical transmission element LPG forming a uniform illuminance distribution on the emission end face, to form a real image of a light emission part of the light source LS at the position of the incidence end face. The relay optical system has at least two lens elements LN1, LN2, and also has a negative distortion aberration for narrowing the luminous flux guided to the incidence end face toward a light reception region of the incidence end face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
