Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a subject region to be focused on to be automatically determined and enable the subject region to be brought into focus when photographing a flower shaking in the wind, etc., and to enable an appropriate shutter time to be automatically set for the determined moving subject region.SOLUTION: When a shutter button is half-depressed (yes in S301), motion information for each of plurality of tracking target regions set on an image, such as the image of a flower shaking in the wind, being captured (S302). Average coordinates of motion, a motion frequency, and a motion amplitude are detected for each of the tracking target regions for which motion information was detected, and a region to be controlled is determined on the basis thereof (S303, S304). A shutter time is determined according to the motion amplitude of the region to be controlled (S305). A tracking process is executed for the region to be controlled until the shutter button is fully depressed (S306). After the shutter button is fully depressed, AF and AE are executed, the former executed on the basis of the tracking process of the region to be controlled, and the latter executed with the determined shutter time, whereby an image is acquired.
