Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses light and shade stripes generated due to interference of signals from being visible compared with a case where the interval between light and shade stripes generated due to the interference is not made smaller than a predetermined interval.SOLUTION: A bias power supply device 100 of an image forming apparatus comprises: a transformer 1208 that outputs an AC output signal S38 from a secondary winding; a switch circuit 1206 that switches a switch element on the basis of a modulation output signal S34 to supply a power to a primary winding of the transformer 1208; and a modulation circuit 1204 that receives a frequency setting signal S33 for setting the frequency of the AC output signal S38 and a modulation signal S11 to create the modulation output signal S34. The frequencies of the modulation signal S11 and AC output signal S38 are set such that the interval between light and shade stripes generated on a recording sheet due to interference between the harmonics of the modulation signal S11 and AC output signal S38 is made smaller than a predetermined interval.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
