Abstract:
To prevent a reduction in image quality even when one-side loop occurs on a sheet.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 conveys a sheet to a position at which an image is transferred by a transfer unit (secondary transfer roller 9) to transfer the image to the sheet, and comprises: detection units (position detection sensors SE2) that detect the positions of the side end parts of the sheet; a determination unit (control unit 11) that determines the presence/absence of one-side loop on the basis of the positions of the side end parts detected by the detection units; and a control unit 11 that, when the one-side loop is determined to be present by the determination unit, performs predetermined control related to cancellation of the one-side loop.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
