Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly execute a printing operation corresponding to a sheet in an indefinite size.SOLUTION: A sheet size detection unit 204 detects size information related to the size of a sheet stored in a sheet feeding cassette at the time of execution of a printing job. A definite size determination unit 205 determines whether or not the size of the sheet is a definite size on the basis of detected size information. An indefinite size estimation unit 206 estimates the size of the sheet in an indefinite size on the basis of the detected size information when the result of determination shows that the size of the sheet is not the definite size. A condition setting unit 207 sets a printing engine condition corresponding to the indefinite size to a printing engine condition corresponding to a definite size larger in one size than the estimated size of the sheet in the indefinite size. A printing control unit 202 executes printing on the sheet in the indefinite size on the basis of the printing engine condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
