To provide an image forming device and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein heat generated in an organic EL element can be excellently removed.
The image forming device includes: a light-emitting panel 21; a heat transfer plate 24; and a heat dissipation plate 23. The light-emitting panel 21 includes: a light-emitting pixel 30 formed on a light-emitting pixel substrate 31; and a sealing substrate 32 installed in opposition to the light-emitting pixel substrate 31. On a surface of the sealing substrate 32 opposite to the light-emitting pixel substrate 31, a groove is formed which functions as a fine tube. An operating fluid is sealed into the fine tube, and the fine tube functions as a heat pipe. Heat emitted from the light-emitting pixel 30 by the fine tube is excellently transferred to the heat transfer plate 24 and then to the heat dissipation plate 23.
