Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that allows for improving user's convenience in the case the number of sheets loaded on a paper-discharge tray reaches a limited number of loadable sheets on the paper-discharge tray upon executing a printing job by the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a paper-discharge tray for which a limited number of loadable sheets and a surplus number of loadable sheets that is a number of sheets further loadable on the limited number of loadable sheets are set, a job execution part that executes a printing job, a tray-full detector that detects that the number of sheets loaded on the paper-discharge tray reaches the limited number of loadable sheets, and a job-execution determination part that when the tray-full detector detects that the number of sheets loaded on the paper-discharge tray reaches the limited number of loadable sheets during execution of the printing job, if the number of remaining sheets to discharge up to a break point for the printing job under execution is equal to or smaller than the surplus number of loadable sheets, causes the job execution part to execute the printing job up to the break point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
