Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce an error in setting of the type of a recording sheet to appropriately execute image forming processing without impairing operability for a user.SOLUTION: When a sheet type is designated by a user S802, an image forming apparatus switches a setting mode to a user designation mode S803 and starts clocking elapsed time S804. After that, before the elapsed time reaches a predetermined time, when instructed to start image forming processing S806: YES, the image forming apparatus executes the image forming processing with a process condition according to the sheet type designated by the user. After the predetermined time has passed S807: YES without reception of operation input from the user S805: NO, the image forming apparatus switches the setting mode to an automatic determination mode S808. Subsequently, when executing the image forming processing S809: YES, the image forming apparatus sets a process condition according to an automatically determined sheet type S810.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
