Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus comprising a developing cartridge that has a lever movable with respect to a casing, and provide a technique that can restrict the movement of the lever during transport.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus has a drum cartridge 3 that has a photoreceptor drum, a developing cartridge 2 that has a developing roller 51 and a lever 60, a cover 4, and an apparatus body. The lever 60 is movable to a first position and a second position with respect to a casing 20. When the lever 60 is located at the first position, the developing roller 51 is separated from the photoreceptor drum. When the lever 60 is located at the second position in a state in which the cover 4 is not mounted on the drum cartridge and the developing cartridge, the developing roller 51 is brought into contact with the photoreceptor drum. In a state in which the cover 4 is mounted on the drum cartridge 3 and the developing cartridge 2, separation ribs separate the developing roller 51 and the photoreceptor drum from each other, and the lever 60 is located at the second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
