Abstract:
To further stabilize liquid droplets of ink discharged from a recording head.SOLUTION: A printer comprises a recording head 6 that discharges ink. The recording head 6 comprises a nozzle 11 that discharges ink, a flow path 12 communicating with the nozzle 11, and pressure sensors 14 that detect pressure of ink in the flow path 12. A control part of the printer calculates viscosity of the ink in the flow path 12 on the basis of the pressure of ink detected by the pressure sensors 14 and a viscosity prediction formula using a state element indicating a state in the flow path 12. The control part calculates a difference between a predictive quantity determined by predicting a discharge quantity of the ink to be discharged from the nozzle 11 on the basis of the viscosity of the ink and an actual measured quantity determined by measuring the discharge quantity of the ink discharged from the nozzle 11 by a test discharge processing using the viscosity of the ink as a discharge condition, and corrects the state element of the viscosity prediction formula on the basis of the difference.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
