Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality composite image by determining a proper seam and synthesizing input images, when generating a composite image by joining the input images sequentially.SOLUTION: An image generation device 1 generates a composite image by joining input images inputted sequentially. A difference value calculation unit 15 calculates a difference value, representing relative relation of a reference image and an object image, by using the pixel value of the reference image, and the pixel value of the objective image partially overlapping the reference image. A seam determination unit 16 determines a seam for synthesizing the reference image and object image, by using the difference value calculated by the difference value calculation unit 15. An image synthesis unit 18 generates a composite image by synthesizing the reference image and object image based on the seam determined in the seam determination unit 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
