Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate focus adjustment by manual operation.SOLUTION: When performing contour emphasis processing of an image, contour emphasis processing is applied more strongly to an image in a portion including much high-frequency components and contour emphasis processing is restricted for an image in a portion including less high-frequency components. Thus, a degree of contour emphasis processing is considerably changed in accordance with manual operation of focus adjustment. In other words, a contour of an image can be made reactive more sensibly in response to manual operation for executing focus adjustment. Therefore, even in a resolution-improved imaging apparatus, focus adjustment can be easily executed by manual operation via a small liquid crystal display part or a view finder part.
