Abstract:
To give a weak tone feeling to the entire image by making a light area blurring.
A first mask is produced, in which a pixel whose digital image data shows a prescribed threshold or more is a highlight pixel and the digital image data classifies the pixel of less than the threshold as a shadow pixel. A second mask is produced, which gives the amount of optical correction which has a negative correlation with the distance to the highlight pixel existing at the nearest position to each shadow pixel. In addition, the corrected image data obtained by adding the amount of the optical correction to the digital image data is produced for mutually corresponding pixel of the digital image data and the second mask.
