Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that stably maintains the accuracy in positions of a light source and an aperture with respect to a predetermined light path, and the accuracy in relative positions of the light source and the aperture, and an image forming apparatus using the image reading device.SOLUTION: A reading unit 224 comprises: a housing main body 62; an illumination unit 50; and a housing lid 61. The illumination unit 50 includes a light source 50A that irradiates a document sheet with light in a main scanning direction, and is fixed to the hosing main body 62. The housing lid part 61 forms at least a part of an aperture AP through which light reflected on the document sheet passes, and is fixed to the housing main body 62. The illumination unit 50 and the housing lid part 61 are fixed to the housing main body 62 respectively at a pair of positioning parts arranged on one end and the other end in the main scanning direction of the housing main body 62.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
