Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search for an image indicating an instance with higher accuracy.SOLUTION: A feature aggregation/totalization unit 12 creates an instance feature DB 32 indicating the number of times an aggregate feature appears in which a local feature extracted from an instance image group is aggregated. A first feature comparison/totalization unit 15 compares the local feature and the aggregate feature of an instance region and creates an instance region feature DB 33 indicating the number of times each aggregate feature appears in the instance region. A second feature comparison/totalization unit 18 compares the local feature and the aggregate feature of a frame image of a video group and creates a video feature DB 34 indicating the number of times each aggregate feature appears in each video. A discriminability degree calculation unit 19 creates a discriminability degree DB 35 indicating the discriminability degree of each aggregate feature. A search ranking unit 20 creates, by using a value acquired from each DB, a search result based on an evaluation value BM 25M for each video in which the local feature of the instance region is taken into consideration.
