Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element and an imaging device in which high sensitivity and low sensitivity can be switched to each other, and reduction of the resolution in only a specific direction (vertical direction, for example) can be avoided while preventing extreme reduction of the resolution as a whole.SOLUTION: A charge reading circuit is connected to a specific first pixel and a second pixel disposed at any one of lower right side and lower left side of the first pixel in plan view. The charge reading circuit reads out charges corresponding to photodetection amounts from the first pixel and the second pixel, and outputs a signal value corresponding to the read-out charge amount. A read-out control signal output unit controls whether additive read-out of the first and second pixels is executed or not. A color filter modulates the first and second pixels connected to a specific charge reading circuit with the same color.
