Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve speedup of continuous shooting, while keeping high image quality even in continuous shooting of an actively moving subject.SOLUTION: In response to an operation of pressing a shutter key to provide an instruction for continuous shooting, "exposure arithmetic" for finding an exposure value suitable for brightness of a subject is performed. Then, without performing an operation for driving a diaphragm or a neutral density (ND) filter and releasing it, immediately, the operation shifts to a "closing" operation, i.e., an operation for driving the diaphragm or the ND filter according to a result of the exposure arithmetic and adjusting and setting an exposure suitable for shooting. Further, after autofocus (AF) processing, the operation immediately shifts to "shooting processing" without performing the "closing" operation. Accordingly, during shooting of the second image or subsequent images, the "AF processing" and the "shooting processing" are repeated sequentially for every shooting in a state in which a setting value of the diaphragm or the ND filter is fixed, until the operation of pressing the shutter key is canceled.
