Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of switching photographing mode at a desired timing without causing a hunting phenomenon even when the photographing mode is switched and a subject is irradiated with infrared light and photographed.SOLUTION: A control circuit 10 detects the luminance of a subject according to an image signal which is an output of an imaging element 7 to obtain illumination detection results. The control circuit also corrects a threshold value when an infrared cut filter 4 is inserted into or extracted from an optical path of a photographic optical system according to the emission intensity of infrared light by an infrared illumination unit 11. The control circuit further compares the illumination detection results with the corrected threshold value, and inserts the infrared cut filter into the optical path according to the comparison results.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
