Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of reducing flicker without complicating operation even when manually setting a shutter speed.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: imaging means for imaging a subject; operating means for setting a first shutter speed; flicker detecting means for detecting flicker; determination means for, on the basis of the frequency of the detected flicker, determining a second shutter speed which reduces an influence of the detected flicker; and control means which, when flicker is detected by the flicker detecting means, performs control to switch between imaging the subject at the first shutter speed and imaging the subject at the second shutter speed, in accordance with the first shutter speed set via the operating means.
