Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve arithmetic for exposure amount using information of defocus amount in a focus detection area.SOLUTION: An exposure control value is calculated by using a mean photometric value and a weighted photometric value obtained by weighting according to the defocus amount. Then, when the mean photometric value is greater than the weighted photometric value while exceeding a prescribed value and at the same time when flash is emitted in photographing, the weight for the weighted photometric value is reduced from that when the flash is not emitted.
