Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain image quality feeling like old film shoot movies and to eliminate rolling shutter distortion.SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises a mechanical shutter provided in an incident light path for performing a shutter operation, an imaging element section, a mechanical shutter drive unit, an imaging element drive section for executing an electronic shutter operation in which exposure is performed at different exposure timing for each part of the imaging element in the imaging element section, and a control unit. The control unit sets a mechanical shutter operation to an effective shutter operation in which the mechanical shutter drive unit sets the open period for each frame period of the mechanical shutter within the period during which all the image pickup pixels of the image pickup element unit are exposed, assuming that the imaging is a moving image imaging.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
