Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an imaging method and a program that enable an in-focus position to be intuitively grasped even when photographing a subject in a scene without contrast.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 comprises: a contour detection unit 207b that detects a contour of a subject within an image; a distance calculation unit 207c that calculates a distance to contour points constituting the contour of the subject detected by the contour detection unit 207b from an image pickup element 203; a focus position acquisition unit 207d that acquires a focus position of a focus lens 307; and a display control unit 227b that causes a rear surface display unit 216 to display focus information about the focus position in an area where a contour point of the distance corresponding to the focus position passes out of a plurality of contour points constituting the contour of the subject on the basis of the distance calculated by the distance calculation unit 207c and the focus position acquired by the focus position acquisition unit 207d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
