Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method capable of obtaining a wide-field image by combining plural optical systems.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 comprises: optical systems 102a and 102b for forming an image of a light flux from a subject; imaging sections 104a and 104b for obtaining image data corresponding to the light flux which is image-formed by the optical systems 102a and 102b; an attitude detection section 116 for detecting an attitude of the imaging apparatus 100; and a control section 122 for determining, from the attitude, either a mode for photographing in the state where the optical axes of the optical systems 102a and 102b are directed toward the zenith or a mode for photographing in the state where the optical axes of the optical systems 102a and 102b are directed toward a photographer side, and changing control in a photographing operation using the imaging sections 104a and 104b in accordance with a determined result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
