Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which time required for displaying a live view image on an EVF when the imaging apparatus is started is shortened and to provide an imaging method.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 10 having a plurality of image display sections includes: an imaging section 204 for acquiring image data by imaging; an image processing section 2206 for processing the image data which the imaging section 204 acquires and generating display image data; a finder liquid crystal monitor 211 being an image display section which preferentially displays the display image data among the plurality of image display sections; and body CPU 2201 which starts the imaging section 204 and the finder liquid crystal monitor 211 in response to a starting instruction of the camera and controls only the finder liquid crystal monitor 211 to display the display image data for at least a prescribed time.
