Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of a calculation load for photometry calculation, and perform correct photometry when performing photometry to a narrow region.SOLUTION: A digital camera 100 comprises: a second imaging element 116 having plural photometry blocks 300 formed of plural pixels; a whole body control part 101 for designating a partial area of a subject image acquired by the second imaging element 116 to a designated area; and a second imaging signal processing part 117 for calculating a luminance value of the subject image. The whole body control part 101 calculates the luminance value of the designated area on the basis of outputs of pixels corresponding to the designated area, in plural pixels forming the second imaging element 116 for a pixel unit, when a size of the designated area is equal to or smaller than a reference value, and calculates a luminance value of whole photometry block in which the designated area strides, for a photometry block unit, as the luminance value of the designated area, when the size of the designated area is larger than the reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
