Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the effect that the reproducibility of color can be improved, even in a scene where correct exposure cannot be obtained.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes an image acquisition unit acquiring a plurality of images of different brightness for the same subject, an image storage unit for storing the plurality of images, a first discrimination unit performing color component discrimination of the target area in an image, by using an image of first brightness out of the plurality of images stored in the image storage unit, a second discrimination unit performing area discrimination of the target area, by using an image of second brightness out of the plurality of images stored in the image storage unit, and an image correction unit for generating a correction image by applying the color of the color component discrimination result to the target area of one image out of the plurality of images, based on the discrimination results from the first and second discrimination units.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
