PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specific detection of varicella-zoster virus.SOLUTION: An immune chromatographic analysis device to detect varicella-zoster virus comprises a sample addition section, a marker substance holding section, a chromatograph medium section which has a detection section and an absorption section. At least either the marker substance holding section or the detection section contains an immune body which recognizes first to 188th amino acid sequences of glycoprotein of the varicella-zoster virus E (VZVgE) having an amino acid sequence represented by the sequence number 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
