Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system configured to enhance security of information stored in a data storage area of a browser.SOLUTION: An information processing system includes a shared device, and an information processing apparatus which provides the shared device with a content of a browser which runs on the shared device. The information processing apparatus includes: authentication means of authenticating a user who operates the shared device, and providing an encryption key managed in association with the authenticated user to the shared device; and providing means of providing the shared device with a function addition program for adding a function to the browser. The shared device includes: area management means of managing a data storage area of the browser to be shared with a plurality of users; and execution means which executes the function addition program in storing information on the data storage area of the browser or acquiring the information from the data storage area of the browser, and encrypts the information to be stored with the encryption key provided from the information processing apparatus and decrypts the acquired information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
