PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of determining active state of a person in a space where a person can exist.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: acquisition means of acquiring sound collected in a space where a person can exist; extraction means of extracting a feature amount of the sound with respect to a predetermined time width; specifying means of referring to a storage unit where components of feature amounts and identifiers are associated with each other for each feature amount, on the basis of a component of the extracted feature amount, to specify an identifier corresponding to the extracted feature amount; counting means of counting appearance patterns of the identifier for a plurality of feature amounts, and counting the number of types of the appearance patterns; and determination means of determining that a person is active in the space when the number of types is equal to or larger than a predetermined value, otherwise determining that the person is inactive.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
