PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device, control method, and program that can reduce time and effort of a user input by controlling a cursor position in adding a character string into a document, and so on.SOLUTION: A user presses and selects a button by performing a touch operation to a software keyboard displayed on a display unit; and moves to any position on a document displayed in an input character display area without releasing a finger from the software keyboard, so that in a movement destination, a character string that is input by pressing the selected button is inserted or a function that operates by pressing the selected button is operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
