Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for performing human detection and transmission of communication data and returning from a sleeping state to a normal state in response to human detection.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus 10 detects a person present in a first range (detection area A1) from the image formation apparatus 10 by using ultrasonic waves outputted at a first frequency (40 kHz) from an ultrasonic sensor 611. Furthermore, the image formation apparatus 10 performs data communication by using ultrasonic waves outputted from the ultrasonic sensor 611 at a second frequency(18 kHz to 20 kHz) lower than the first frequency (40 kHz).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
