Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a towel forming device capable of changing the width of three-fold hems on both ends by a method wherein a cutter and a three-fold forming device are provided in parallel, and the distances between the three-fold reference position at an end and the drawing-out front end position and between the three-fold reference position at the other end and the cutting position are symmetrically changed by a symmetric-revision device.
CONSTITUTION: A long towel fabric 11 is prepared, drawn out by a tugging device 15 in a cutting device 2 and cut into towel fabric pieces 12 by a cutter 16. Then, three-folds are made on both ends of the towel fabric pieces 12. In the case hems are formed and the drawing-out front end position of the long towel fabric 11 which is drawn out by the tugging device 15 in the cutting device 2 and the cutting position of the cutter 16 are revised to change the width of the hems formed by a three-fold forming device 3, the distances between the three-fold reference position at an end and the drawing-out front end position and between the three-fold reference position at the other end and the cutting reference position are symmetrically changed by a symmetric- revision device 65.
