Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easier method for estimating surface pressure of a holding seal material and determining the quality of the holding seal material.SOLUTION: The method for inspecting a holding seal material made from inorganic fiber includes a fiber orientation index measurement step of measuring a fiber orientation index of the inorganic fiber in the thickness direction of the holding seal material and a determination step of determining the holding seal material as a non-defective one when the fiber orientation index is 4.5 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
