Abstract:
To provide a cylindrical insulator covering a part of an exhaust pipe, which can prevent the occurrent of corrosion, cracks and the like of the exhaust pipe and the insulator by properly draining rainwater and the like entering inside.SOLUTION: An insulator 90 covering a part of an exhaust pipe of a vehicle has a cylindrical shape that covers at least one bending portion of an exhaust pipe 12A and an exhaust pipe on a front side of the vehicle only by a predetermined distance L1 from the bending portion, in a circumferential direction. A space between the exhaust pipe at the place covered by the insulator and the insulator is made to be a cavity portion without contacting with at least a part of the place in a longitudinal direction of the exhaust pipe. On an inner wall on the front side of the vehicle from the bending portion in the insulator attached to the exhaust pipe of the vehicle, an insulator inner wall lowermost portion 94A that is the lowest position on an inner wall surface of the insulator is formed. At the insulator inner wall lowermost portion, an opening portion 93 penetrating from an inner wall surface to an outer wall surface of the insulator is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
