Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braid which is excellent in forming processability into the braid under a low-temperature condition, and is excellent in dimensional stability at about room temperature in the use of a product; and to provide a fishline, a net, a rope, a protective cover, and a bulletproof material using the same.SOLUTION: A braid comprises at least one polyethylene fiber which has an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 5.0 dL/g or more and 25 dL/g or less, and has repeat units comprising 90% or more of ethylene. After the braid is unraveled, the polyethylene fiber has an elongation percentage after two hours of 5.0% or more as measured at 70°C under a load of 5 cN/dtex, and has a peak temperature of mechanical thermal stress (TMA) of 130°C or higher with a peak value of 0.2 cN/dtex or more at that time.SELECTED DRAWING: None
