Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an efficient and effective cooling of lubricant oil.SOLUTION: A first lubricant oil returning hole 36a arranged at a cylinder block 6 for returning lubrication oil after lubricating each of the portions at a cylinder head 2 including driving valve components such as an intake cam shaft and an exhaust cam shaft not illustrated to a lower oil pan 10 is installed near a communication flow path 32a and a distribution chamber 34 where cooling water of which water temperature is most lowered just after being discharged by a water pump (not shown) flows. With this arrangement as above, it is possible to realize an efficient and effective heat exchanging operation between lubricant oil flowing down the first lubricant oil returning hole 36a and cooling water flowing at the communication flow path 32a and the distribution chamber 34. As a result, it is possible to realize an efficient and effective cooling of the lubricant oil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
