Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle riding type vehicle internal combustion engine equipped with a supercharger, capable of further enhancing the performance of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In a transversely placed, inline multiple cylinder engine including a supercharger 31 for a two-wheeled motor vehicle, the supercharger 31 and an intercooler 32 cooling supercharged air supercharged by this supercharger 31 are disposed one above the other upward of a crankcase 27 and backward of a cylinder section, and intake passages 32d and 32e for supplying intake air from the intercooler 32 to a cylinder section 61 are partitioned into a plurality of segments by an extension intake pipe 63a and then merged together to extend to an intake chamber 94 upward of the intercooler 32.
