Abstract:
To provide a vehicle internal combustion engine which can protect a component disposed at an engine upper part from hot air flowing out from a catalyst case cover.SOLUTION: An engine 4 includes a catalyst case cover 40 which is formed into a shape opening to an engine body 4A side and covers a catalyst case 25 from the opposite side of the engine body 4A. An upper end part of the catalyst case cover 40 is disposed at the side of a cylinder head cover 13, and a plate-like heat shielding plate 41 extending in a vertical direction is disposed between the catalyst case cover 40 and the engine body 4A. An upper end 41a of the heat shielding plate 41 protrudes to the upper side than the upper end of the catalyst case cover 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
