Abstract:
To perform complete combustion at a warmup operation, and to promote the stability of combustion at each cylinder bore, in an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: Main injectors 13 are arranged at intake ports 6 formed at a cylinder head 3, and an auxiliary injector 22 is arranged at a surge tank 16. Branch pipes 9 are branched from the surge tank 16 so as to respond to the intake ports 6, respectively. In a state that an engine temperature (cooling water temperature) is lower than a preset reference value, the engine temperature is controlled so that injection amounts from the main injectors 13 are increased as the engine temperature becomes high while using the main injectors 13 and the auxiliary injector 22 in common. When the engine temperature reaches the reference value, fuel is injected from only the main injectors 13. Downward bent parts 9a which can store the condensed and liquefied fuel are formed at the branch pipes 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
