Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact ion generating module capable of suppressing a generated positive ion and negative ion from being recombined together when applied to electrical equipment such as an air cleaner.SOLUTION: An ion generating module 35p, 35n comprises a main body part 310 and a rectifier element cartridge 300 attachable to the main body part 310. In the main body part 310, a pulse generating circuit 311 generates positive and negative pulse waves on the basis of an AC supply voltage. A boosting transformer 312 boosts the pulse waves. An ion generating element 350 is connected between secondary-side output terminals of the boosting transformer 312 in series with the rectifier element cartridge 300 when the rectifier element cartridge 300 is loaded. The main body part 310 is configured to load the rectifier element cartridge 300 in a first loading direction in which a current is so rectified that a discharge electrode 314 of the ion generating element 350 is on a positive potential side and a second loading direction in which the discharge electrode 314 is on a negative potential side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
