Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a cement product effectively utilizing waste mica occurring in the field of electrical insulating material, slightly causing drying shrinkage.
CONSTITUTION: In a cement blend for building plates comprising cement, silica sand and reinforcing fibers, 3-20wt.% based on 100wt.% cement blend of industrial waste mica containing ≥10wt.% particles having ≥1,000μ particle size is uniformly mixed in the cement blend and the cement blend is hydrated, formed, cured and hardened. Elongation of cement product is reduced by addition of mica having a large coarse particle distribution.
