Abstract:
To provide a light-emitting device which suppresses stray light to minimize undetectable region when used for detecting the position of a pointer, for example, and to enhance light utilization efficiency, and to provide an image display system using such light-emitting device.SOLUTION: An apex of a conical mirror is at a distance from an optical axis of a light source. In other words, the conical mirror is positioned off the optical axis. Such an arrangement minimizes generation of components of light, such as infrared, emitted from the light source that head toward a side opposite an irradiated surface of an image display system, and allows for efficiently emitting the light along the irradiated surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5A
