Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig and a test method for testing railroad tie pad capable of stably carrying out an objective test on a railroad tie pad relevant to compression characteristics by maintaining the support status of the railroad tie pad in a reproducible state.SOLUTION: The jig for testing railroad tie pad is used for testing compression characteristics of a railroad tie pad. A prototype of a ballast base, on which the railroad tie pad is placed, is produced and subsequently a sand mold is produced from the prototype. A ballast replica loading plate 1 with grips 2, which has convexoconcave identical to convexoconcave of the ballast, is produced using the sand mold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
