Abstract:
To provide a joint box that can improve waterproofness.SOLUTION: The joint box has an accommodation space inside and includes an electrically insulating housing 5 that accommodates and covers connection portions 11 of a plurality of electric wires 2 in the accommodation space and a foamable and electrically insulating filler 8 filling the accommodation space of the housing 5. The electric wires 2 each include an electrically conductive core wire 21, an electrically insulating covering portion 22 that covers the core wire 21, and a surface treatment material 7 applied to the peripheral surface of the covering portion 22 located in the accommodation space of the housing 5. The housing 5 has a filling port IH for filling the accommodation space with the filler 8 and an exhaust port EH for exhausting the air in the accommodation space to the outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
